A Couple of new toys

Hi Doggies, it's me Maddie talkin' with you today. Well here in Southern California it has been really heating up in the triple digits. We have been laying low and swimming in the pool. My Mom came home with a suprise for me the other day.
Would you look at the size of this tennis ball!? She didn't think I would be able to get my mouth around it to do bite bites, but it took me a whole....hmmm 2 minutes tops to grasp it all! Here is a pic of me being worried that my big sis was gonna take it, she was doing the "Give it up" stare, or is it glare?
Her looks are ruthless!



Awwww she made her move....now you will see how my mouth fits so nicely around the
huge ball...No Problemo!





Now the only drawback is, is there are a few puncture wounds in my huge tennis ball, and when I go swimming with it in the pool, it floats to the bottom and heads for a fast roll in the deep end. Where there is no chance of any recovery by myself.
*sigh* Whats a Labbie to do?


And I almost forgot to tell you, this very same day my Mom also gave me another toy. My very first Frisbee! I can't get enough of it. We go to the local school
yard so it has room to really fly. I will try to post a vid of it tomorrow.

Our Grand Canyon Trip

Haroo Puppers,

It's me Maddie! Frankie and I got to go on the biggest trip ever. We went with Mom and Dad to visit and stay 4 days/3 nights at the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
It was so cool! We went in our new (used) Motor Home ( My doggie house on wheels) as
I call it. We had so much fun. Three other human couples came along in their homes
on wheels too. Each of those couples had 2 pups each! So we had EIGHT of us doggies there all sharing the fun! Everyone was so proud of us pups cuz we all got
along.

This is Frankie and Mom, Frankie asked to strike a pose by her Siberian Jeep, she wanted to prove to all her blogger friends that she was always on her best behaviour
and representing da' Sibes well.




Mom had a great time taking pics of this place, it was so beautiful!

Mom named this guy "Domino", it is her make believe Black & White Siberian, We are not ready for the real real Domino to come into our lives and make us a 3 doggie house again.....so this is her "in leiu of", or in other words
"pretend" B & W with Blue eyes..... I can't beleive she let this guy on her car!!!!
Well he is pretty cute I suppose.


Second, she brought these home for us, and they are sooooo yummmmmy!

I hope Domino doesn't think he is getting any of these. I think this guy is a poser.

I am a little nervous today. My Mom is packing my Dad up and taking him in for some
repairs. Somethig about a Hernia. I am nervous, Dad was a little quiet and said
lets just go get this surgery over and get home! Well I hope he comes home really soon. It's raining here, and its a very gloomy day.......

Lets Order Up a Movie.....Lassie anyone?

Well our pool is back up and running! Maddie took a surprise dipin-dipout yesterday,
while Mom wasn't looking, but it was ok, until Maddie realised that just because the weather here in So. Cali has been fantastic (74 Degrees) these past few days, it doesn't really mean that the water feels all that fantastic, so she ran on the big
NO Doggies outside gazebo patio furniture and flipped it all off the couch frame so she could get warm.

So this is where we start today. Speaking of No No furniture, well Mom was in the shower on the other end of the house, you see, so Maddie and I just assumed that
because she left the entertainment room door open, we were all good to go on
the leather theater seats....apparently this is not the case, as we were told
the No doggies rule once again.....Oh well, sometimes you just gotta try, and
so we did :-) Hey Wheres the Popcorn with BUTTER???, the Movie is about to begin!

California Dreamin'....Not so much!

Ok doggies, I am needing a little vent time here with you all.

Things this New Year are not shaping up so fantastic. My pool has gone defunct!
The other morning as we were lying in bed snozzzzzing in the winter morning,
we heard some not familiar noises comming from my pool. So Mom went to the doors to face the music of something she had feared gone wrong. As she looked out she didn't look real happy. "Mom, whats wrong with my pool, I said"! The entire back yard was flooded. As she went outside, (you know she made me stay inside), she really didn't look good. This is what she found......


"Uh Oh, This is not looking good"

Seems that my pool pump has xploded! What does this mean???
Well "NOT" that they let me swim in the cold winter weather in my pool or anything,
though I do sneak a quick dunk now and again, it has been clearly told to me that this thing called a new pool pump bottom half, will be MY Birthday Present!
What the heck! I will be just 2 years old on January 12, and just because this
pool, OH I mean my pool, and the darn pump, has just happened to dump right before my Birthday, it is now being touted as my birthday pressie!!!!

Ok, on top of it all, We have went and bought the new bottom pool pump (pressie),but due to extreme rains in the state that NEVER rains......huh,
we cannot even open my pressie and play pool pump. So my pool has very diminished water right now, the jacuzzi none, which is where I go round and round looking like a sharkie in the water.

Things this New Year are just not shaping up, just look at this......What the?



I have heard of cushie jacuazzi tubs, but this one takes the doggie bone!
It seems Mom was very afraid from all the newscast she heard of the horrid California
storm to be, she brought in all my pool backyard furniture cushions. Isn't this a strange place to lay them down? So, I wonder what all you doggies think! I am a bit perplexed by all of this. Happy New Year.. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooof

Do you think this Pool Pump should be presented as my 2 Year old Birthday Pressie? Or am I being treated unfairly??????


Should I go on Birthday Pressie STRIKE????? I have some deep thinking to do.

Just Resting Up!

We have been on vacation for the Holidays. It has been very hectic around here, but we had wonderful friends from Memphis, TN come stay the entire Holidays. It was so much fun!! But now they have left, and I am just trying to gear up for the New Years Eve bash. I hope all of your Holidays are good.......

MayaMarie's Yummy Cheesy Treats!

Frankie Grrrl here. Our bee-woo-tiful Husky gal pal Maya Marie was so kind and sent us
some of her homeade Chritmas treats! Towards the end of the evening last night, there was a doorbell ring, we immediatly ran to the door, but alas, no one there, we looked down on the porch, and there was a package. Mom opened it up, and there were the cutest doggie cookies we had ever seen.....

Frankie Girl here. I got to thinking about the photo shoot Maddie and I did for the DWB Xmas Card Xchange. It was a challenging day. Mom and Dad tried several things, places and such.

A Lizards Tale.....

Hey guys! It's me, Maddie taking the blog over today.

Recently, we had a visitor in my swimming pool. I came upon this guy. He was just lying in the pool water, silent, just near my steps. I don't have a pic of him when he was just floating, sort of playing possum like. I didn't know what to do!
I wanted to get him. Really really bad. But I am not sure him and I had the same
idea as to what "getting" him really meant! Hmmmmmmmm Well I did want to "get" him out.


So my Mom catches on, (she always does, darn), gets the magic scooper and saves this
guy just like that!

OH COOL! Nooooow we can play Mr. Lizard!




NICE TO EAT, errr, I MEAN MEET You......Now Just a little further down MOM!



But that was to be the end of the Lizards Tale......And our meeting was just so brief! Much too short! Thanks Mom. And here goes the saved Mr. Lizard with his
tail right over the block wall. Goodbye Mr. Lizard, till we meet again ;-)

Some new Decorations

Hi Doggies & Girl Girl!

Many of you have already started decorating and putting up Christmas trees.
We have not really started any decorating as of yet.
However, Mom did come home this last long howliday weekend with two new items.

The first one, I have to offer up for your viewing pleasure is this:
He is pretty nice, and I do like pretty things, changes colors and all.



Now, the upcomming one I suppose reminded my Mom of a certain Lab that I call my sister.
Hmmmmmmmm, but it did make me laugh alot! What do you all think? I don't think its
in the "pretty" category. More comical than anything!

Yummers....Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Treats

Hi Puppers,

Frankie Grrl here. Mom went shopping and brought home some new treats for us the other day. They are called Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Treats, and man are they ever so gooooooooooooooooooooooood. BIG paws up!


I think they are one of my favorite things to eat in life! My first being Chicken and my second being sliced cheese. These things are so
awesome. My only problem is that Mom hands them out so sparingly! I want more. Maddie swallows them whole, just like she does everything, she doesn't chew. She likes them tons, I just don't know if she ever really savors the taste a bit. Hope you are having a good day doggies.

A Chocolate Halloween Martini Server........

Hi Doggies, It's Maddie the Chocolate Bunny!
First we want to say, sorry for the absence. We have been scarce since the
Southern California Fires took way. We are happy to say that we are all fine
here. It was a very hard time here, and we had to work very hard to give our
Mom a hand with everything, while Dad was off working very hard at the San Diego
Fire, helping restore power for them. But now we are breathing fresh air and
things have returned back to normal! Yippppppppe

That said, we celebrated a bit with friends, and welcomed the Halloween night.
And look what they made of me! Well some of you may know, my Sibe Sis Frankie
is a Sibe-Tini kinda girl. So I was a Lab Sibe-tini Server for the night.


Don't I look ever so happy with my costume? Errrrr not! Well I hope they all had
a good time anyway. I guess it must have been the bad air quality the bipeds
breathed for all those days of fires that prompted this behaivor.....
Yeah thats it.

Dog Blog

Not Complete...but getting there....

Hey Pups! Frankie Grrrl and Maddie here today.
Well, we can sum Living Room painting into one word "STRESS", Oh there was plenty
of Maddie Tail paintbrushing, Me Frankie, wanting attention, (Whats so hard trying
to do that and paint, I ask?). But mostly a Color Malfunction. Mom was so careful too, much preperation and thought behind the 3 colors that would be used. One for the walls, should have been a light brown, but when Dad painted almost two days worth, came out looking almost WHITE! How can this be? We don't know, but we ran outside when we saw the problem. Anwyway, so off to Home Depot, new deeper brown chosen...And we have this color on the wall now, Entry way, Living Room and Hallway.



We still have tons of "touch up" painting to do.
But we have ONE ??????????????????????????????
Can we play now....



YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
